It's Friday!  And we have a great wedding to feature today!  From the time we met Amber and Philip we knew they were amazing.  For me (Wes), I really get to know our couples during the engagement session as nearly every topic of conversation comes up.  I love this, because it puts an at ease feel about the whole thing, but I get to see who they really are.  I learned that Philip has aspirations of becoming the President of the United States in 2040 and that Amber and I share a weakness.....Reeses Peanut Buttercups.  Most of all, I was able to experience what their friends and family already know, but their genuineness and hospitality speaks volumes, even right into their wedding day.   I can't thank you two enough for allowing Meg and I to photography your wedding day and to get to know you; we pray and hope that your marriage will be filled with blessings! Ashley & Trey {Featured Wedding} Columbus, GA Wedding Photographers

He sat next to her many years ago, like when they were "little" years ago, and never knew she existed.  That's how their story starts off.  At a pageant, Trey and Ashley sat next to each other and it was all caught in a picture but never realized till destiny brought the two together.  This picture would surface one day while the two were thumbing through old photos at Trey's house and "wham!", Ashley recognizes herself in the picture.  Now how often does that happen?!  Needless to say, as magical as their beginning, so was their joining as one.  I always say that my job is the best because I get to witness amazing love stories that blossom sometimes overnight and other over years.  Ashley and Trey, you are a wonderful couple and a joy to be around, allowing people to be at ease with your kindness.  Thank you for allowing me the honor to join in your lives as you become husband and wife. -Wes

Amy+Jason Prattville Wedding Photography, Columbus Georgia

Hello Prattivlle!!!  Having visited Prattville quite a bit, my visits were mostly centered around Jim and Nick's, PHS stadium and I'll admit it, Bass Pro Shop.  Never have I had the chance to visit downtown, which if you've never been is filled with oldies.  Old homes and business buildings.  How old you ask; some going back to the late 1800's.  So the post is not about Prattville but about the couple that was married there, Amy and Jason. Some people you just click with.  Some you find yourself in conversation with and it seems like you've been friends for a while and you just naturally enjoy being around them.  Amy and Jason would fall into this category and I'll add one more  description to them, hospitable.  It always blesses our heart when we have the opportunity to work with a couple like Jason and Amy.  Thank you guys and we hope you enjoy this preview!

There is something so sweet about a newly engaged couple...It makes me remember that precious time I had with Wes and how special our engagement was.  Wes and I are so thankful that Amy and Jason are allowing us to follow them on their incredible journey of being engaged!  We can't wait to shoot their wedding on March 19, 2011!  This couple was so much fun and was up for anything.  We traveled all over Columbus, Georgia and found some great spots to shoot!  Icing on the cake...they both graduated from our Alma Mater, Troy University, Jason played football for Troy, and Amy is one of my Chi Omega sisters!  We hope you enjoy a peek at our great session with them!  Thanks to Amy and Jason for being willing and having fun with us!

Happy Tuesday and Blessings to You,

Meagan

A wedding DIY project

Something about me that Meg would confirm in a heartbeat, is that I'm a saver or in her words a miser.  I have a tough time letting go of that hard earned green.  Well the great guys from Fox and Friends did a Do It Yourself project that I thought might help all brides save a few dollars and you can even add a little touch of your personality.  I love when we are covering weddings and there are those little personal nuances that describes the personality of our couples.  You can really come up with some neat ideas and I hope this helps or at least can spark and idea would lead to some great projects.  Have fun!

The Beach Club Resort Gulf Shores

If you keep up with the blog, you might remember this couple.  They helped me out during a shoot that I had wanted to do at the Peanut Festival.  Since then and really from the first time Ashley contacted me we have learned what an awesome couple Ashley and Chris are.  Ashley loves to send thank you cards when ever she gets the chance (I only wish I could do this more often).  When you see these you'll have to agree that Ashley was an amazingly beautiful bride, and not to forget Chris, a sharp looking groom!  Guys you were great and I hope y'all will really enjoy these!

God Bless,

A Little Tiny Webb

Portraits2 Comments

I wanted to share a couple from a newborn session we just recently had.  Little Webb is such a cute  baby who dispite her "not so much love" for photography allowed us to get some amazing pictures.  What was funny about this session was that it took us 3 times.  Everytime I picked up the camera, looked at the camera, thought about the camera, Little Webb let us know about her love for the arts with those wonderful loud baby sounds.  But you know even through out the 3 visits, we really did get to know the Webbs and were blessed by their kindness; they are such a great family.  Well, I hope you enjoy these!

Be blessed!

Ashley and Chris (freebie session)

Portraits1 Comment

I've kind of been holding on to these, just trying to catch my breath.  These are a couple from the freebie session I did with Ashley and Chris.  What made me excited about this is that,  1. I got to spend time with one of my couples that I'll be doing their wedding next year and 2.  we did the shoot at the Peanut Festival.  How much better can it get?  Ashley had never been to a fair so I tried to prepare her for what she was about to experience, words can't really describe it; the fair is something you have to experience.  The amazing thing is that they drove 2.5 hours for this shoot, and had to leave and drive another 2.5 hours back home because Chris was leaving the next day for Texas.  Ashely and Chris, thanks for offering to do this, we had tons of fun with you guys and we can wait till April!  Hope you enjoy and God Bless,

Adam and Stephanie - November 17, 2007

Uncategorized2 Comments

What a blessing it is to be part of someone's special day.  What makes Adam and Stephanie so wonderful is the fact that their love for each other and their love for God was so visible and evident during this day!  The day was great...everything went smoothly - from a photographer's stand point!  This couple was so amazing and laid back.  They allowed Wes and I to use our creativity and get some amazing shots!  We hope you enjoy a few pictures from thier wedding!

Many Blessing,

Meagan
