When we first spoke with Lizzie and her mother, we knew immediately that we would love this bride and her family. A family firmly rooted in their faith, we fell in love with them because of their love for our Lord and Savior!  Wes had a blast working with Lizzie and Luke from their engagement session to their wedding day. The wedding day was picture perfect. Lizzie was all smiles in her gorgeous lace wedding dress adorned with a beautiful rhinestone belt. The bridesmaids wore the dress of their choice in a soft pink. One of my favorite touches...the groomsmen's boutonnieres included succulents!  Lizzie and Luke exchanged vows at the beautiful, First Baptist Church of Opelika. Once the ceremony was complete, guests made their way to the reception on Auburn University's campus at the Red Barn. Guests enjoyed delicious food and cake...and danced the night away.  Lizzie and Luke left for their honeymoon as guests cheered them on with sparklers.

Thanks again to Lizzie, Luke and their families for allowing us to share in this special time. We were blessed to be there!

Happy Saturday,

Meagan

We love a sweet, simple country wedding. Stacin and Cole celebrated their wedding day with family and friends on a beautiful summer day in Alabama. Stacin chose The Barn at Pisgah Hill as the backdrop for her reception and it did not disappoint. She wore a simple white wedding dress accented with blue sash to match her bridesmaids. She also wore custom cowgirl boots for the reception. LeRae Events blew it out of the water once again, complete with an old Ford truck at the center of the action in the Barn. A southern menu of food including fried chicken and creamed taters was enjoyed by all. Thanks Stacin and Cole for allowing us to be a part of you big day! We hope your marriage is a blessing for years to come!

Blessings, Meagan

We are so excited for Hannah and Jerry!  Their wedding day was a perfect day full of friends and family joining in to celebrate with them.  The Barn at Pisgah Hill was a fabulous backdrop for the dream that Hannah wanted for her venue surrounded by a calming countryside full of oaks and water.  Adding even more eye candy were the floral designs that was displayed; LeRae Events + Design went over the top with their use of Peonies and hydrangeas.  Making the day even more special was that Hannah and Jerry included their beloved puppy as the ring bearer.  The reception was full of all kinds of great eats from Red’s Little School House and even a gift of homemade jelly for guests to treat themselves at home.  We want to thank Hannah, Jerry and their family for everything; it was such a blessing to serve you!

I remember when I first started photography.  I was a no nothing college student taking a couple of classes for fun, which was anything but!  I can remember having prints critiqued and rejected by my instructor, at times, a heart breaking hit that would warp the idea of what I thought was a good picture.  He pushed harder to make his students better, he tore down so that he could build the right foundation and form the eye to see and create great images.  I don't often miss the days of being critiqued like that, it's kind of hard to over come to trust the future work you produce, even now.

We recently had the honor of being recognized by a company that has made a name for itself in the photography industry by helping photographers get their work published.  We were recently listed in their list of the top 5% of its members who have their work frequently-published.  I'm just completely humbled to be listed in this group.  Thank you TBL.

I Love Life

Wes RobertsComment

I love life!  I said it!  I enjoy everything that graces my life.  As a Christian I've always thought that I should hate this life since it was so wrenched and full of evil.  And that happiness was to be with Jesus, hanging out talking about all the OT stories he’s seen (for those of you who don’t know, OT stands for Old Testament) and miracles he’s done.  Don’t get me wrong, it is the best and will be way more satisfying than the things I go through here; I mean, your in the presence of God.   This thought came to me when I was having one of my battle moments.  I often get hit with this fear of, what would happen if I wasn't here for Meg and B.  I become paralyzed, stricken with fear.  It’s not because I’m afraid of where I’m going when I exit this body; accepting Jesus as Savior secured that.  But it’s more so, what will I miss.  I looked at B today and that’s when it dawned on me.  I’m not afraid of dying, I’m afraid of what I will miss.  That I’ll miss the small moments of him growing up to be an amazing man.  That I’ll miss an anniversary with my most cherished bride and the touch of her hand.  That I’ll miss the sweet joys that God placed in this life for us to enjoy.  Guess what, He gave us the present of life. We should enjoy it, and we should give Him thanks for every moment of it.  For every breath!  I find myself at times, giving thanks without awareness because He let me experience something amazing, a feeling of love or emotion of happiness.  When I bow before Him, I hope my lips could whisper…”thank you for this life you gave me”.  I hope only to make the most of it proclaiming Jesus’ love with what I have left.  It’s this love I was given and have been able to be satisfied in, by grace, and that I wish all could experience.  I’m Wes and I love life!
